The pandemic deepened my reflection on identity as a person of color. As the world shifted, so did my awareness of the complexities of race and history — and a question took hold: if history had unfolded differently, could our world be a more equitable place?

"History Revised" is my artistic response to that question. By weaving together public domain photographs and vintage family images, I imagine a more inclusive past — one that restores the presence of Black and Brown individuals in spaces from which we were so often erased.
