It began at thirteen — the slow emergence of an image in the developer tray, the silence of a darkroom at Camp Martin Johnson. Photography was never just a hobby; it was a way of seeing — finding the ephemeral beauty hidden in plain sight, the small details others pass by. That sensibility was deepened by years working at Smithsonian Magazine, The Image Bank, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Maui Film Office, to name a few — immersed in art and the people who make it. Today, that same sense of wonder drives every image I make, whether capturing quiet moments with family and friends or the beauty of the world around us.
